Keep your grass short: Make sure your lawn is less than 6 inches long and remove and grass clippings, brush piles and debris to your compost pile so mosquitoes and ticks have less places to hide on your property.

Wear appropriate clothing: Mosquitoes are most active at dawn and dusk and ticks are always ready to bite so wearing light colored long sleeve and long pants as well as a repellent can greatly reduce your chances of getting a bite. Make sure to check for ticks daily!
